Amalgamation of American Firms. HUGE COMBINED RESOURCES. (Received 11 a.m.) NEW YORK, March 17. Tlio amalgamation of the Chase National Bank, the Equitable Trust and the Inter-State Trust Company, with combined total resources of £502,800,000 is being formulated. The combination will not only be the largest institution in the United States but, it is believed, in the world.
