WRESTLING.
WALKER BEATS KHAN,

GREYMOUTH, Monday.
The wrestling contest between George Walker (13.2 A) and Ramzan Khan (12.10) went to the seventh round, when the decision went to. Walker, as the Indian, owing to* an abdominal injury, was not able to continue.
In the first four rounds Ramzan Khan showed distinct superiority, _ having Walker defending most of the time. He showed great agility and variety of holds in the next two rounds. Walker showed the greatest stamina, and after the sixth round had gone more tnan half way, he lifted his opponent and put him hard to the mat. He was awarded a fall.
A few seconds after the seventh round began, the Indian lay stretched on the mat when Walker got up, and the latter was declared the winner.
M. A. Sunni, in a private wire, reports that the decision for Walker was unpopular, and that Khan was superior throughout the match. Ho adds that Khan "is willing to back himself against all comers.
