GOLF.
WALTON CLUB. The annual meeting of the Walton Golf Club was held on Saturday evening. The election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr. P. F. Hockly; president, Mr. W. McLean; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. B. Nicholls, R. B. S. Watson. F. E. Hillier, W. Mears and L. Mapp; secretary, Mr. G. Fromm; captain. Mr. F. James; treasurer, Mr. A. Adams: committee, Messrs. J. Lock, MacJohnston, J. Dickie and Gow; ladies' committee. Mesdames W. McLean, J. Dickey, J. Lock G. Fromm, M. Willis, F. James, Miss D Given. Ten new members were elected, and it was decided to hold the annual opening at the end of March.
