Mr. and Mrs. Norman Donald, who have been touring the North Island, have returned to Auckland. * * » # Mrs. Westmore Stevens, of Bendigo, Victoria, Australia, is on a visit to New Zealand and is at present in Auckland. »** * / Mrs. Ben Goldwater, who has been visiting Wellington to see her sister-in-law (Mrs. Albert Goldwater) off by the Tamaroa, returned home again on Saturday by the Limited.
Dr. Muriel Bell, of Dunedin, the holder of the William Gibson Research Scholarship for Medical Women, has arrived in London and has begun her work in the Bio-chemical Department of University College in London, where she will carry on her research under the direction of Professor J. C. Drummond, head of the Bio-chemical School of London University.

Miss E. M. Haselden, of Auckland, is at present on the Continent, and is staying- at Leukerbad, • in Switzerland. She spent the summer mostly: in London, Bristol, Keswick and the Lake District of Cumberland; the autumn in Scotland, where she visited the Scotch lochs, Trossachs, Caledonian Canal, Inverness, Aberdeen, St. Andrews and Edinburgh, spending part of the time with friends. Then she spent about six weeks at Matlock, returning to London for Christmas, which she spent with a cousin, and on January 9 left for Switzerland. Miss* Haselden intends making Montreux her headquarters during the winter, and in the spring she hopes to go to Algeria to stay with a friend. After that she will return first to Switzerland and then to England for the summer.
