CATHOLIC SCHOOL OPENED.
In the presence ot a large number of lavmen and clergy from both the city and surrounding parishes. Bishop yesterday afternoon officially opened and consecrated a new Roman Cathouc Church school in Montrose Street, Point Chevalier. The school, which alreadv has a roll of 34 children, is conducted bv the sisters of the Grey Lynn convent. "The bishop stated that the property and building had cost £2500. An address was given by Father MeGrath. SAL, of the Mount Albert parish, and Mr. M. J. Coyle, on behalf of the district laity, thanked the bishop for the school.
