The Ponsonby Flying Club flew the young bird bracelet race from Hunterville, an airline distance of 220 miles. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster, and after a very keen" contest the winner turned up in Mr. C. Litherland's Knightlike, which beat Mr. L. Lambie's Imperial Star by a very small margin.
