HOSPITAL AUXILIARY.

GOOD WORK DONE

At the monthly meeting of the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary, Mrs. Alfred Kidd presiding, it was reported that Si garments had been contributed to the depot in February, and the members had visited the hospital distributing fruit and cigarettes to the patients. The City Sewing Circle, with Mrs. CanSmith as convener, sent in Gl garments and books for distribution. Mrs. Tiarks' motor excursion committee had been taking patients for drives eack week, and the visiting committee (convener, Mrs. Pankhnrst) had visited the hospital regularly, distributing books, papers, jam and flowers, and given help where needed. The junior branch of the auxiliary, with Miss Calder in charge, was reported to be rapidly growing, and it was stated that garments for St. Helens would be the work of the young helpers. During February, 25.5 garments were distributed from the depot to 45 families, and food orders were given to 2i families. Ten patients were taken to their homes by Mrs. Marler's committee.
