MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
The Hon. W. B. Taverner, Minister oir Railways,, and Commissioner of Stale Forests, arrived in Auckland by the Daylight Limited last niglit, and north this mornittg: on the. WhangarM express. ■ The Minister will leave the train at Waiotira Junction, and go on to inspect the "balloon loop" at Kinkopuni,, on .the route to Dargaville. Mr. Taverner.'will be in Whangarei over the week-end, and early on Monday morning he will leave for Rawene, where he 'will investigate matters connected with the Forestry Department. . He will pass . through the Waipoua State Forest. On Tuesday Mr. Taverner will visit Kaitaia.- After 'a. comprehensive tour of the North, Mi. Taverner will return '.to the city on January 27. On the first portion of his tour he will be accompanied by the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways, Mr. H. H. Sterling, and the Director of State Forests, Mr., E. Phillips Turner, will be with the Minister throughout the trip. c. " The Minister of Public Works,' the Hon. E.: A. Ransom, is due,in Auckland this evening, after a comprehensive ; tour of the North Auckland district, - which occupied a fortnight. . V
