Mrs. T. G. Reynolds and children, of Claudelands, are spending the school holidays in Tauranga. Mrs. E. R. Gresham, of Hamilton, is away on a visit to Auckland. Mrs. Whitehouse, of Hamilton, is on a holiday visit to Waiwera. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce-Smith and family, of Devonport, are spending a month in Cambridge. Mrs. J. C. Gray, of Hamilton, is staying at the Esplanade, North Shore. Mrs. Parke Pittar and her daughter Nell, of Hamilton, are away at Gisborne. Mrs. G.- P. Rogers, of Claudelands, is staying at the Esplanade, North Shore. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Wallis and children, of Cambridge, are staying at The Cliffs, Howick. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Sheppard, of Hamilton are away at Muriwai beach. Mrs. H. Hasler, of Hamilton, is spending a holiday at Devonport. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Ferguson, of Hamilton, are away at Puru beach. Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Lewis, of Cambridge, are spending a holiday at Plimmerton beach. Mrs. F. Bullock and children, of Hamilton, are away at Milford beach. Mrs. N. Lawrence, of Waipukurau, is staving with relatives in Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Page, of Hamilton, are on a holiday visit to Puru beach. Mrs. H. I. Biggs, of St. Helier's is spending a holiday in Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Speight, of Cambridge, are visiting Rotorua and Napier. Mrs. I. Power, of Kaponga, was in Hamilton during the week. Mrs. Gordon Re id, of Hamilton, is on a visit to Hastings. Miss K. Cowie, of Hamilton, is staying with relatives at Khandalla.li, Wellington. Miss M. Moir, of Sydney, is on a visit to Hamilton. Mrs. W. Tudehope, of Hamilton, is visiting relatives at Hawera. An enjoyable evening was spent by a number of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Leech's friends at their home, Fairfield, Hamilton. The dining room was bright with Chinese lanterns and balloons, and the verandah was closed in and lit with coloured lights. Mrs. Leech wore a black ninon and lace frock. Those present were: Misses M. An afternoon tea was given in Cambridge by Mrs. Garland prior .to the marriage of her daughter Evelyn. The drawing room was artistically decorated with roses and sweet peas. At St. Peter's Cathedral, Hamilton, the marriage was solemnised of Mary Evelyn, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everet Seal, of Claudelands, formerly of London, and Alastair Somerset Graham Adam, of Nelson, son of the late Captain H. Adam, C.8.E., and Mrs. Adam, of Crowborough, Sussex, England. As the bride entered the Cathedral the hymn, "Lead Us, Heavenly Father/' was

sung. The bride's frock was Early Victorian, of ivory ring velvet, with closefitting sleeves and fluted skirt. A lovely veil of embroidered tulle was held in place by a wreath of orange blossoms, and the bride carried a bouquet of St. Joseph lilies. The chief bridesmaid, Miss Gwitha Hobey, of Nelson, wore primrose tulle over taffeta silk, with a chaplet of gold leaves, and her bouquet was of lilies. Miss Nancy Walders and Miss Jeanette Ward, two little bridesmaids, were dressed alike in shell pink taffeta, and carried bouquets of blue flowers. Mr. R. J. H. Seal, brother of the bride, was best man. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dean Barnett. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Lyceum Club. The guests were received by the bride's parents, Mrs. Seal wearing a blue georgette frock and smart navy Bangkok hat to match. She carried a bouquet of pale pinlc sweet peas.
