VESSELS LAY UP.

ULIMAROA DUE TO-MORROW.

Many coastal vessels will be laid up &t Auckland for the holidays, and some oi them will be overhauled. The Union Co.'s steamers Kamona and Waimea, and the Richardson steamer Awahou have been withdrawn for survey, and a number of scows will also be on the slip. The overseas vessels in -port include the Maimoa, loading for London and th«, Tofua, which arrived from the Islands yesterday. The Ulimaroa, with passciigers, mails ana cargo from Sydney, is due 'to-morrow morning.

KAMOXA AND WAIMEA LAID UP The Union Co.'s steamer Kamona. which arrived yesterday from Grey month, via Napier , and Gisborne, is laid up at the North Wall The steamer Waimea, which arrived from' Xapier yesterday, is also undergoing overhaul at-tbe . North Wall, and is expected to resume about January 7.

The Pukeko is due from the fcSLSt coast at 6 p.m. to-day, and will berth at the Prince's wharf. . The Richardson steamer Awahoui arrived from Gisborne yesterday, and berthed at tne Prince's wharf. This afternoon she is to shift to the Western wharf to lay up lor overhaul. ~ The Northern Co. advises that the Bonakl, which sails for Tauranga at 2 p.m. on December 27, will call at Mercury Bay both ways. There will be no other boat to Mercury Bay until the Apanui on January b. MAHANA SAILED. In continuation or her voyage from Liverpool, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mahana sailed on Saturday afternoon for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. RANGITAXE LEFT SOUTHAMPTON. The local office of the N.Z. Snipping Co. has received advice that the motor ship Wellington 1 ! where she is due on January 22.

The Kairanga leaves Westport at 3 a.m. to-morrow for Auckland direct. i The Kurow leaves Bluff this evening for Auckland, via Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. WAIOTAPU DUE TO-MORROW. A further radio from the Union Co.'s steamer Waiotapu states that she expects to -arrive at Auckland from Los Angeles, at 530 a.m. to-morrow. She will discharge the local portion of her cargo at the Oueen's wharf, and the remainder at Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. MAKURA AT SAN FRANCISCO.
