MR. THOMAS HUNT.

The death occurred on Tuesday of Mr. Thomas Hunt. Papakura, at* the age of 81 years. Mr. Hunt first came to New-. Zealand from Gloucestershire, England, f>s years ago in one of the old. sailing ships; accompanied by his wife, and landed at: Nelson, in the j South Island: (For .a short time he. was prospecting.- for gold around the Nelson district, and .then .shifted to Kaipara, North. Auckland, where he was engaged in laying the formation of the present railway. While at Kaipara he ran .a small farm at Swanson with his. wife. After several years he was. transferred to tlie Waitakere station and was there until he retired on superannuation. 'He then, went to live in ; Papakura and was there until his de.ath. Mrs Hunt,died on ; March 22/1927. Mr.- Hunt is'survived by three sons and two daughters: Mr.T.' Himt/iof Ma'rne Road, Papakura; Mr.. W. Hunt, of Queeir Street,'On vehunga; Mr. E.
