The police are looking for the owner of a bunch of keys contained in a neat leather wallet. The wallet and keys were picked up in Queen Street on November 30, and handed to a constable. These may be had if the owner applies to headquarters in O'Rorke Street. Inspector J. W. Hollis stated this morning that at present there was a great assortment iof lost property -at the police station waiting to be claimed by owners. Mr. Hollis added that frequently sums of money and • many articles of value were found and handed to the police and afterwards never claimed Only recently two children found £10 in notes and handed the money to the police. Efforts to find the .person who lost this sum were fruitless and so the £10 was returned to the lucky finders. • The inspector said that :if a constable finds an article or a suni of money and it is not claimed, the money of article is placed'among'what is' known as "miscellaneous" property, kept for six months and then sold at auction. Should a civilian find anything and hand it to the police, it is returned to the finder if "it is not claimed by the owner. . •* ■ > ■ ■ ■
