Miss Frost, of Auckland, has been staying in Cambridge with the Misses Jackson. Mrs. W. Hume, of Masterton, is staying in Hamilton. Mrs. Souter has returned home to Cambridge from a visit to Auckland. Mrs. Baird, of Masterton, has been staying in Hamilton with Mrs. J. Clachan.' Miss Don, of Clevedon, has been staying in Cambridge. Mrs. C. Birch, of Dunedin, has been on a visit to Hamilton. Miss M. Taylor has returned to Cambridge from a visit to Rotorua. Mrs. Pavitt, of Masterton, has been staying with friends in Hamilton. Mrs. J. Williams, pf Claudelands, .is away in Wellington. Mrs. W. O'Callaghan, of Hawera, has been spending a holiday in Hamilton. Miss Sinclair has returned to Hamilton from a visit to Hawke's Bay. Mrs. R. Greenslade is spending a holiday in the South Island. Mrs. It.. Harris, of Pahiatua, is staying in Hamilton with relatives. Mrs. F. W. Burley,.of Hamilton, left this week from Auckland for England. . The annual display of drill by the pupils attending the Diocesan . Girls' School was hel dat the school on.Tuesday. A splendid, exhibition of national and classical dancing and marchihg.'.was i given under the direction of the drill mistress, Miss S. Morphett. A "gift" bridge party was given by Mrs. E. Walcler in the circles room at the Lyceum Club on Friday, for Miss E. Seal, whose marriage takes place at an early date. Mrs. Walders'wore a smart black georgette and lace frock; Miss E. Seal, flowered 1 georgette. The prize for the hidden number was won by Mrs. E. Eeeves, who presented it to Miss Seal. Those present included: Mesdames Seal, Perry (England), W. M. Horton, T. A farewell evening was given by Miss Ethel Hammond for Miss E. Neeker, headmistress of the Diocesan Girls' School, who is leaving shortly on a trip to England. The competition was won by Mrs. Leo. Kent-Johnston, Claudelands, on Thursday, Miss Margaret Young was the guest of honour. Miss Young leaves Hamilton shortly to take up mission work in the' Diocese of Dormakal, India.
