DR. T. G. SHORT RESIGNS. SUCCESSOR APPOINTED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. At the final meeting this year of the Waihi Hospital Board the resignation of Dr. Thos. Gordon Short, assistant medical superintendent, was accepted with regret. Dr. Short leaves for England in February. Dr. F. G. Barraclough, of Karamea, was appointed to the vacant position. It was decided to bring the X-ray plant up-to-date by the purchase of a secondhand, reconditioned apparatus and fittings at a cost of £200, including installation. A committee was appointed to report within two months on repairs necessary at the hospital buildings.
