STREET ACCIDENTS.
MAN BREAKS LEG. Knocked down by a motor car last evening at the junction of Merivale Avenue and St. Andrew's Road, .Epsom, Mr. Charles Payne was taken to .the hospital with a compound fracture of the right leg, above the ankle. Mr. Payne lives at 51, Empire Road, Epsom. His condition to-day was reported as not serious. A motor cyclist, Mr. James S. Alexander, of 5, Ennismore Road, Mount Albert, received severe abrasions and bruises when he was thrown' from his machine last evening, at the intersection of ladstone Road and First Avenue, Mount Albert. His machine and a motor lorry collided. Mrs. Alexander, who was pillion-riding, was not hurt.
