Some months ago a private message to Dunedin from Australia reported the death in America of Philip Newbury, formerly of Dunedin, a well-known tenor singer. No confirming letter came to his relatives in Dunedin, and now Maxwell Newbury, Philip's brother, has learned through a letter received by a friend that Philip is still in the land of the living. He was very ill in New York, but according to the latest advice he \v<ts about to send word to Australia that he was recovered aud was about again.
