RACING SECRETARY.

MB. V. T. DIBBLE. APPOINTED TO MANAWATU CLUB. A Press Association message from Palmerston North states that Mr. V. T. Dibble, assistant secretary of the Auckland Racing Club, has been appointed secretary of the Manawatu Racine Club in succession to the late Mr. C J. M. Johnston. Mr. Dibble is 31 years of are. and went, to the war with the 17th reinforcements when only 17 years of age. He lost a leg at Messines. and returned to New Zealand in 191!). After following commercial pursuits, he was appointed assistant secretary of the Auckland Racing Club in March. 1921, and during the illness of the secretary, Mr. W S Spence in 1924-2.5 season, acted in that capacity. Mr. Dibble is a qualified accountant, and has taken an active interest in local organisations, includiiv the Returned Soldiers' Association. He takes up his new duties in the course of a few days.
