EPSOM GRAMMAR SCHOOL RECEPTION.
A large gathering of old. girls was present at the farewell social tendered to Mies Morrieon last evening in the school hall, Silver Road, Epsom. The hall was gaily decorated. with blue and gold- streamers. On her' arriyel/ Miss Morrison was'given a bouquet, of scarlet rosee and sweet peas. Miss M. Chaplin, president of the Old Girls' Association, was in chair, and, on; their behalf she presented Miss Morrison with a "silver tea service. Miss" Chaplin, spoke of the'deep affection ?and esteem; all her past pupils held for Miss son,' and of the- splendid work done by her in the building up of the school since ite inception in 1917. At the conclusion of the presentation "For She's a Jolly Good Fellow" was sung, and three cheers were heartily given. Miss Morrison suitably responded. A programme presented by old girls was much, appreciated. Among the performers were: Miss J, Hewitt and Miss T. Rouutree, who played pianoforte solos; Mise M. Pjlkington and Miss M. Free, who gave recitations; Miss E. Foote and Misa M. Cutting, songs; Miss D. Higham, a violin solo; Misses I.' Abdallah and M. Craig, gipsy dance. The programme concluded with a comedy produced by Miss D. Potter and acted by Misses M.Park, F. Crook and M. Clark,: after which supper was served. The supper room- was prettily decorated, in, shades of mauve and pink. During supper the following toastfe were hon-, oured: "The King" (Miss Chaplir), "Miss (Miss I.
