LIEUT.-COL. T. C. SUTHERLAND.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) STRATFORD, this day. Lieutenant-Colonel T. C. Sutherland, one of the early residents of Manaia, died at Hawera after a short illness. Born in Liverpool 07 years ago, Mr. Sutherland, after receiving education in France, came to New Zealand with his father, and acquired 9000 acres of land at Manaia, at one of the first land sales held on the Waiinate Plains. For many years he managed the farm for his ratner.
