ROTORUA NOTES.
Mrs. Fitzwilliam. Ohinemulu, has rci turned from a holiday spent at Auckland. Dr. and Mrs. Trevor de Give Lowe, who have been staying at the Geyser Hotel, Whakarewarewa. have returned to Devonport. Mr. and Mrs,. W. , H. \<Aing, of Orini, are on a visit to Rotorua. Miss Mavis Giesen, Hineniaru Street, has returned from an extended visit to Sydney. Major and Mrs. J? C. O'Brien, of Auckland, are spending the summer months at Brent's Bathgate House. Mr. and Mrs. Cnrngan, of Tauranga, are on a visit to Rotorua. The Misses Frasfcr, who have been staying at Brent s Bathgate House, have left on a visit to Waimana. -Iho opening night of the Majestic Cabaret, late King's Cabaret, was held on Saturday evening, under the management of Mr. Epi Shalfoon and-Mr. Frank Oldham, when there was a large attendance, over 400 guests being present. The striking new decorations were carried out in black and white, with hangings and lampshades of black and white check designs. The Melody Boys Orchestra supplied delightful dance music, and supplied novely dances were held; the Monte Carlo waltz prize was won by Mr. and Mrs. Norman Berge. Included amongst the dancers were: Mesdames Shalfoon, J. Lee, Clubb, Hollis, Henderson, Callingham, Graham, Henderson, Misses V. Steele, A. Steele, I. Wright, B. Newarch, D: Davies, R. Donney, L. Donney, B. Vaughan, J. Gilbertson, L. Richardson, Tyson, J. Macindoe (Auckland), P. Wallace, Duffil, Sumerthwaite, R. LolDy, F. Richardson, N. Goodall, C. Holland, .Q. Man, D. Thompson, J. Gilbertson, •M. Bates, M. Snell, R. Pa rata, R. Bell, J.- Carter, E. Clark, B. Vaughan, F. Ellis, Franklin, Hill. Jhe Rotorua A; and P. Association oiganised a progressive 500 tournament at the Peerless Hall on Friday evening. Owing to counter attractions and the \oiy unsettled weather, the attendance | was not as good as usual. Prizes for the tournament were won by Mrs. Simpson and Mr. Bvrne.
