MEMBER'S BONUS.

DIOCESAN SCHOOL BENEFITS. GIFT BY MR. H. R. JENKINS. The third member of Parliament to decline the personal use of the £100 bonus voted to members of the House of Representatives on the day before the recent session closed is Mr. H. R. Jenkins, Government member for Parnell. Mr. Jenkins immediately on his return from Wellington made a gift of the money to the Diocesan High School for Girls, Auckland.

The Diocesan authorities have been advised of the gift, and of Mr. Jenkins' desire that it should be a contribution to the school swimming bath fund.
