ONLOOKER'S VIEWPOINT.
ENGLISH CRICKETERS. A correspondent, Mr. H. Birch Clark, writes: —"Describing the English ■,cricketers, now playing in Sydney, as 'England' seems like the three Tooley Street tailors' yarn, a bit misleading. With about four exceptions, the members of the team are practically unknown. If the team was competing in the County contest at Home it is doubtful if they would finish in the first six. 'Why not describe them as 'English Xl'? Of course, the team is strong enough to defeat all comers in New Zealand."
