WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

FURNISS—WHITE.

The wedding took place on November 6th of Celia Mona, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs, G. White, of Hunua, to Frederick William Furniss, youngest eon of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Furniss, of Wellington, where the ceremony took place. The church had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride with lycopodium, festoons and arch of greenery, which was surmounted by a floral bell. Mrs. Membery played the organ. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. H. Rattray. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dress of cream georgette with uneven hemline and long sash falling to the ankle, an embroidered veil, worn as a mob cap, encircled with a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of pink and cream roses, carnations and sweet peas, with maiden hair fern. Miss Myrtle White, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, wearing a tiered frock of pale pink crepe de chine, and crinoline hat to match. Her bouquet was of pink sweet peas, roses and carnations to tone, and maiden hair fern. Mr. C. J. Homer, of Wellington, was best man. A reception was held in the Hunua Hall. Mrs. George White received her guests wearing a frock of royal blue and fawn crepe merano,* black crinoline hat with trimmings of tulle and osprey.

PRENDERGAST—KELLY. Colleen Marie Maud, second daughter of Mr. E. A. Kelly, of Mount Albert, was a dainty bride on Wednesday, when she became the wife of Brian Michael, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Prendergast, of Grafton Road. I The ceremony took place at St. Benedict's Church, Father O'Connor, of Waihi, officiating, and Miss Nell Ormond at the organ. The bride wore a gown of pastel pink georgette, the skirt of small frills being picot-edged, and made on uneven lines. A large bow of tulle was on one hip. The pink tulle veil, which was embroidered, fell to form a train, small clusters of orange blossom being placed at each ear, # and carried a pink shower bouquet. Miss Bona Kelly, chief bridesmaid, was in hydrangea blue taffeta, the deep transparent hem and neck swathing of tulle being bordered with pink rosebuds. A crinoline straw hat with velvet flowers, and shower bouquet were in tones of blue and pink. Miss Betty Kelly was in primrose floral satin, hat to tone, and yellow bouquet. The little flower girl, Patty Frith, was in pink satin, tulle frills, and rosebuds. Mr. Terence Prendergast accompanied his brother as best man. Mrs. K. A. Sneddon, sister of the bride, was hostess for the delightful afternoon reception held at the Domain Kiosk, bowls of pink sweet peas and purple irises adorning the tables. Mrs. Sneddon wore apricot embossed georgette, hat to tone; Mrs. Prendergast was in black georgette and lace, black hat.

CAMPBELL—LINDSAY. The residence of Mr. and Mrs. B. Lindsay, of Frankton Junction, was the scene of a pretty wedding recently, when Christina Anne, second daughter of Mr, and Mrs. B. Lindsay, was married to Francis Hugh, only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Campbell, of Whangarata. The Bev. Father O'Connor performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory crepe de chine, finished with a scalloped hemline and trimmed with silver lace. Her embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white and pale pink flowers. The bridesmaids were Miss Elsie Lindsay, sister of the bride, and Miss Nancy Campbell, sister of the bridegroom, while little Miss Alice Lindsay, also a sister of the bride, acted as flower girl. All three wore frocks of shell pink crepe de chine, with overdresses of georgette and trimmings of silver lace. Their headdresses were of tulle to match, made with fanlike effect, and each carried a shower bouquet. Mr. N. Powdrill carried out the duties of best man, and Mr. R. Perrin those of groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Haeremai Tea Rooms, where Mrs. B. Lindsay received her guests, wearing a floral crepe de chine frock with navy tailored coat, hat and fox fur. Mrs. W. F. Campbell wore a navy crepe de chine frock, hat and fox furs.
