The report on casli order trading, presented to Parliament early in the session, contained certain recommendations for controlling this business, and it was announced thta if the promoters of the cash order trading system did not voluntarily comply legislation would be enacted this session.

The Industries and Commerce Committee has considered the position, and recommended to the House that the legislation be passed, though it eliminating the prohibition of canvassing and mail order campaigns, also a suggestion in the original report that no orders be issued to married women wihout the consent of their husbands. The report recommends as an additional subject of legislation that the amount advanced in any cash order transaction shall not exceed £10.
