MR. R. LEVIES.
An early settler in the Waikato, Mr. Richard Levies, died on October 29, aged 84 years. He was born in County Cork, Ireland, and arrived in New Zealand by the ship Roderick Castle. After living in Auckland, Whangarei and Waiuku, he went to Hamilton about 50 years ago. Deceased was for many years a member of the Xewstcad School Committee, and .a. prominent supporter of the Anglican Church. He also belonged tr> the Waikato Hunt Club. Mr. Levies is survived by three sons and four daughters.
