After the police had broken up a Communist demonstration at Dusseldorf 40 members of tlie "Red" Front Association barricaded themselves in a public house bar and bombarded the police with beer bottles and glasses. The police were compelled to retreat, but reattached, using revolvers freely and captured the whole of the "Red" demon : strators.
