INCREASED SPEED.
BALLARAT MAKES PAST TIME. LONDON. October 29. Shipping reports show that the Ballarat, of the Peninsular and Oriental line, whose speed has recently been increased, sailed at the same time as the Esperance Bay, of the White Star Line, from London, on October 15, but is likely to reach Fremantle two days ahead of the other ship.
