Denials By Salvation Army Chief. ; £1,000,000 TRUST FUND. : (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, October 29. General Higgins, replying to allegations regarding the internal administration of the Salvation Army, denies the existence of -a persecution or vendetta and declares that the present regime maintains the constitutional administration.
General Higgins, with the consent of the Solicitor-General, Mr. J. B. Melville, K.C., -will apply for a writ transferring from the late General Booth's executors to himself, for administrative purposes on behalf of the Army, its trust property in Britain worth £1,000,000.
