"NEW ZEALAND SPORTING AND DRAMATIC REVIEW."

An Attractive Publication. The "New Zealand Sporting and Dram- j atic Review" has for years past established itself as the most popular paper of New Zealand, and no effort is spared to keep it thoroughly abreast of the times. The fine quality and diversity of the illustrations of this week's issue will at once make an appeal to readers. First of all a striking frontispiece of Raquel Torres sun bathing will rivet attention. Then attention is drawn to the double centre pages, which are admirably set out with some of the inmates of the Auckland Zoo, which is a strong centre of attraction. Racing is represented bv snapshots of the Wellington and Waikato Hunt Club meetings, ami trotting is catered for in two well set out pages of the Auckland Trotting Club's spring carnival. The actual racing in the Schneider Trophy race is the subject of a page of thrilling incidents. Other events pictured from abroad are lawn tennis at Wimbledon, the St. Leger at Doncaster, archery competitions, and the departure of the British troops from the Rhine. Deserving of special mention is a page of snappy humour, another of Parisian fashions and brightly illustrated stage and screen pages. Among other subjects are the following: Shelly Beach Baths, Captain Cook Memorial celebrations at Gisborne, Dunedin Whippet Club's meeting, and the Hawke's Bay annual A. and P. show. Full particulars are given in this number of the £250 great racing skill competition. The "Review" is on sale at all booksellers and stationers.—(Ad.)
