A large number of dancers attended Dixieland, the popular cabaret-by-the-sea, on Monday night, when a gala was held in celebration of its fourth anniversary. Miss Gwen McNaughton featured in a Russian dance and received rounds of applause at the conclusion of the item. As an encore Miss McNaughton gave an interpretation of Brahms' Sixth Hungarian Dance. At supper time a huge three-tiered birthday cake with four lighted candles placed upon it was cut in honour of the occasion, Mrs. Follick performing the ceremony. Throughout the entire evening a jolly time was spent by all who attended and it could be easily seen that the cabaret had maintained the standard it had set four years ago.
