CHAIR OF MIDWIFERY.
ENDOWMENT FUND OPENED,
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDTN, this day.
The Obstetrical Society of New Zealand is canvassing well-to-do persons throughout -the Dominion ior donations towards an endowment to provide the salary of an "all tihic" professor of midwifery and gynecology at Otago University when Dr. Daley's term expires.
The sum sought from the donors is £2.1,000. and this is to he supplemented by a grant from the State of an equal amount, thus producing a salary' of 12000.
The canvassers are already meeting with encouragement.
