RIFLE SHOOTING.
THAMES VALLEY CLUB,

MORRINSVILLE, Tuesday.
The opening shoot of the Thames Valley (Defence) Rifle Club, which has been resuscitated after many years of dormancy, was held oil Saturday. The club has acquired a range 011 the properties of Messrs: N. Clifford and F. Cowern, six miles from Morrinsvillp.
The Mayor of Morrinsville, Mr. W. McPherson, congratulated the club on its revival, and fired the first shot. Pracfcicc matches were held during the afternoon. The ladies' trophy was won by Mrs. E. Hitehmnn, and the All Comers' handicap by K. Grigsby, of Morrinsville.
A club match was won by Morrinsville, other clubs competing being Cambridge and Frankton.
