SELF-DENIAL RECEIPTS.
ARMY REPORTS DECREASE,
LONDON, October 28. General E. J. Higgins, head of the Salvation Army, denies that it has appealed to America for financial aid. He admits that the receipts from the eelf-denial appeal have declined, but Says the contributions from members of the Army have shown a generous increase. The public's support is gratifying.
