Statement.

LONDON, October 28,
Joseph Barratt, aged 45, walked into the Glasgow police station and made a statement concerning the Beading murder. Detectives were hastily summoned from Beading.
Barratt was charged with the murder of Alfred Oliver, a Beading tobacconist, the leading episode in which was the Unjustified suspicion of the actor Drew, Who was afterwards acquitted of the charge of murder. Barratt was remanded $o permit his removal to Beading.
