CHRISTIAN CONVENTION.
AUCKLAND CONGRESS
RELIGIOUS QUESTIONS TREATED.
Fidelity to the fundamental truths revealed in the word of God was urged by Mr. George Reanney, the first speaker yesterday at the second day's meeting of the Auckland Christian Convention in ■the Scots Hall, when he gave an address 011 "The Certainties of the Christian Faith." He was followed by Mr. Forbes McLeod, who spoke on the necessity for checking the downward path of the backslider. Mr. T. Russell Cameron's message was one of faith. In the afternoon Mr. W. R. Wilson took as his subject "The Church of God Viewed as the Body of Christ, the Temple of God and the House of God." He said that two aspects were presented in the Scriptures, the Divine and the human. As a body the Church revealed the glory of the Head, which was Christ glorified. As a temple it was the inner shrinfe where believers worshipped, and where the majesty of the Deity was proclaimed. A call of service to the individual members of the Church of God was propounded by Mr. Robert Laidlaw, and Mr. A. McDonald Redwood, of India, spoke on ''The Will of God." Mr. Laidlaw and Mr. PI. Yolland also spoke in the evening 011 "The Love of God" and "Christian Jov."
