FISHING AT TAUPO.
Reports from Taupo are to the effect that active preparations are being made by parties "who intend taking part in the opening of the trout-fishing season on Friday. There will be a good deal of fishing in the Tokaanu area and also in the rivers southward and westward of Lake Taupo. A paragraph in last night's "Star" made mention of the season "opening to-morrow," but the actual date is November 1.
