ANOTHER MATCH.

WRESTLING SEASON EXTENDED.

A WALKER-ALLEY RETURN.

" CRUCIFIX " CHALLENGE

FINALISED,

Despite the statement that last evening's wrestling match was to be the last of the season in Auckland, at least one more contest is to be decided. This will be a return match between George Walker, of Canada, and Tom Alley, of America.

Alley is confident that he can beat the Canadian, and he told the New Zealand Wrestling Association this morning that he was prepared to meet Walker again, the winner to take the whole of the house money after expenses., have been paid. Walker at once intimated that he was willing for a return contest, and it was then decided that the season be extended. The date for the return match has not yet been fixed, but it is likely that the contest will take place within the next ten days.

It was also definitely decided this morning that the "Crucifix" test should take place on the evening of the. match. Alley, who offered at the start of the season to give £100 to the man who could escape from his hold, is to lodge fIOO with a newspaper through the ass 9* ciation, while Walker is to deposit half that amount, the Canadian's £50 being merely a guarantee for hi? appearance. The test is to take place within ten minutes of the conclusion of the match, proper. If either man is unable to participate in the test within the stipulated time he will forfeit his deposit. As Walker's £50 is not stake money he will not lose it if he fails in his attempt to break the hold, although he will take Alley's £100 is he gets out. When Walker and Alley met last evening they provided the'best match of the season, and anticipated that the return bout will draw a capacity house.
