CANCELLED FOR LIFE.

MAN'S DRIVING LICENSE.

SECOND OFFENCE IX FORTNIGHT,

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

WANGANUI, this day

Described as "a very foolish man," Ernest Edward Storr was charged in the Police Court this morning with being found in a etate of intoxication while in charge of a motor vehicle in Victoria Avenue on Saturday night, and he was further charged with a breach of his prohibition order. It was his second offence within a fortnight.

Mr. Salmon, S.M., said that on the previous occasiou he h,ad taken into consideration that the offence wae not a particularly bad one and he had extended leniency, seeing that Storr had been an Imperial soldier for 18 years, and he was suffering from injuries and was to a certain, extent dependent on his lorry. However, Storr had proved unworthy of any consideration, and he ordered that his license be cancelled for life. He was also fined £10.
