AMUSEMENTS. "Nothing by the Truth," the first picture to allow Mr. Kit hard Dix to break his screen silence, is one of the most enjoyable "talkies" that have yet been released In Auckland. It is one of the few attempts that have been made to date to use the audible screen as a straight-out medium for comedy and the experiment has been an unqualified success. The picture came to Auckland very largely unheralded, but the audience that packed the Regent Theatre on Saturday evening revelled in its ingenious absurdities. Time and again a bright line in the dialogue was drowned in laughter and the picture certainly deserves to be classed as an extended season attraction.
