SWIMMING.
WHANGAREI LADIES' CLUB. WHANGAREI, Friday. At the annual meeting of the Wh'angarei Ladies' Swimming Club, the following officers were elected:—President, Mrs. L. G. Brake; delegate to men's club, Mrs. Messent;. secretary. Miss I. Haynes ; treasurer, Mrs. J. H. Nicholls. The committee was appointed as follows :—Mesdames Haynes and Carrington and Miss Morris. The season wag reported to have been a most successful one, both financially and soci'ally. The membership of the club stands at 49, and the balance-sheet shows a good financial position.
