CHINESE LOSS.
Soviet Troops Seize Territory In Manchuria. TOWN BOMBED AND OCCUPIED. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) TOKYO, October 16. The first seizure of Chinese territory in the present hostilities in Manchuria is officially reported. Ten Russian aeroplanes and seven gunboats bombarded Linjanshang on Friday. Marines were then landed and occupied the town, which is on the Amur River. Three Chinese gunboats were sunk. There were 200 casualties.
