UNHAPPY MARRIAGE.
JUDGE GRANTS DISSOLUTION.
In the Supreme Court to-day Sir Alexander Herdman granted a decree nisi to be made absolute in three months in respect of an application by consent in which Marjory Howard {Mr. Noble) sought a dissolution of her marriage with Alfred Gould Howard (Mr. Singer) on the ground of desertion. Petitioner said she was married to the respondent in May, 1914, in the registry office in Auckland. There were three children. Owing to unhappiness in the home the parties separated in 1922 and agreed never to live together again. Three years ago last September they signed an agreement to that effect. Evidence was given by the father and daughter of the petitioner that since they separated in 1922 the parties had not lived together. The application was not defended.
