SHANNON— THOMSON.
St. Patrick's Cathedral was chosen for the wedding yesterday afternoon of Eileen, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Thomson, of Mount Eden, and Mr. David Shannon, of Auckland. The Rev. Dr. Buxton performed the ceremony, Mr. Harry Hiscocks presiding at the organ. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Mark Thomson. The wedding gown was of silver lace, with over-frock of ivory tulle. The floating tulle embroidered veil was edged with eilver lace and worked in true lovers knots. The bride carried an exquisite bouquet of orchids. The bride's two sisters, Misses Margaret and Esma, were in attendance. Frocks fashioned alike, the former in green, the latter in cyclamen, were of taffeta, in ankle length, and uneven gold lace hem lines, shaded chiffon velvet lovers knots and rosebuds for trimmings. Gold lace hats and shower bouquets completed their dainty toilets. Little Delma Darby was the flower girl, in a frock of mauve- satin and tullo, with ruffles at the waist. The Early Victorian bonnet was of satin and rosebuds. Mr. L. Thomson was best man, and Mr. H. Donaldson groomsman. The wedding reception was held at the Titirangi Kiosk, where over 80 guests assembled. The bride's mother wore black souple satin, and black hat.
