PRESENTATION OF DIPLOMAS.
The Rev. E. S. Tuckwell presided at a big gathering }>eld in the Auckland Tabernacle last evening, in connection with the sitting of the Baptist Union Conference. The Union shield for Scripture examinations was presented' to, the Manurewa Sunday School. A number of long service "diplomas were also presented, Messrs. A. B, Shalders, W. Clark, and G. W. Wix each received a diploma for services extending over fifty years. , Miss Jennie Street spoke on the Christian Endeavour movement, and the Rev. L. B. Busfield on "Th<j Place of the ' Child in Human Life."
