CAPTAIN'S DARING.
Remains On Blazing Steamer TilJ Crew Escape. THE STRANDED HOCHST. (United Service.) (Received 10.30 a.m.) COLOMBO, October 15. Captain Brauer and two officers remained aboard the blazing Hochst, which exploded at Minicoy Island yesterday, when the crew escaped in the lifeboats. At the last moment the officers jumped with their lifebelts on and were .rescued by a boat from the Lauterfels, which is also stranded. The Hochst is still burning and is a total wreck.
