MT. ALBERT'S WATER BILL. CITY DECLINES OFFER. The offer of the Mount Albert Borough Council to pay the City Council for ■water at the rate of i/ per thousand gallons (instead of at the amended rate of 1/3) has been declined. In a letter received at last night's meeting of the Mount Albert Council, the City Council acknowledged the receipt of a cheque for £1234, in payment for water, accompanied by an intimation that Mount Albert was willing to pay at the rate of 1/ per thousand gallons.
