PROMISE OF RAILWAY WORK.
(B,v 1 olograph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. With reference to the statement made by the Minister of Railways, in reply to Mr. A. M. Samuel, M.P., in the House, that if Price Bros.' foundry had been promised work by railway officers it was not a right promise to make, Mr. W. Price said this morning that his firm had no promise whatsoever from officials of the Railway Department concerning railway work. If any such promise had been made, as had been indicated by Mr. Samuel, then it was made to Mr. Samuel; certainly not to the firm.
