FIRE AT MOUNT EDEN.
DAMAGE TO HOUSE
GOOD SAVE BY BRIGADE
A six-roomed house at 104, St. Andrew's Road, Epsom, was badly damaged by lire early this morning, the occupants, Mr. R. A. Kccnan and his family, being aroused bv tlie crackling of the flames and escaping from the building.
Mr. and Mrs. Ivcenan returned homo at midnight, and the fire was discovered about an hour later. Two rooinsjmd a bathroom at tlie back of tlie house were badly damaged, the Rcmucra Fire Brigade being able to save tlie rest of the building. The Mount Roskill Brigade also turned out. The house was insured for ,€IOOO in the State Office, and the contents for £200 in the British Traders' Office.
