PHOTOGRAPHER CHARGED.
ALLEGED THEFT OF CHEQUES. REMAND UNTIL TO-MORROW. Described on the charge, sheet at the Police Court this morning as a photographer, Herbert William Taylor, aged 30, was charged with stealing a cheque for £1 7/6 belonging to Joseph T. Clement, on August 17, and another cheque for.£2 5/6 belonging to Lily Violet Townsend on September 5.. Taylor, said the Rev. Jasper Calder, who was not in Court, was going to. say something on his behalf. He therefore asked for a remand until to-morrow morning. The magistrate granted the remand.
