MUIR—HOWARD.
A wedding of,considerable interest, ill Taumaruriui was solemnised in the'evenr ing in the Church of England on Monday] October 7, when Miss Nina Catherines Howard , was married. to Mr. Percy Rutherford- Muir. The bride .is ..the eldest .daughter of Dr., and Mrs. E;.Hi Howard,-of Taumarunui, and the bride f groom is. the only son of Mr. F. ->Bi ani the late Mrs. Muir, of Mangapapa, Gisborne. The bride was gracefully gowned in ivory crepe satin, cut in simple lines with tight-fitting sleeves and square decollegate. • 'The skirt--was draped-in front-and worn with a long fish-tail train of the same material. - A dainty tulle veil : was held in place; with tiny side clusters of- orange blossom- and the. bridal bouquet was "of.-deep cream TO.ses, pansies and maiden-hair ! fern. Three bridesmaids -were ! Miss Greta Howard (sister of the bride), Miss Mavis' Muir, (sister ,of the bridegroom) .and' Miss Agatha Howard. The Rev.' J., W. Burley conducted .the ~rnarrfage ceremony, and Mr. L. J: Steveris"was c best man, "arid the groomsmen were Mr.'T. Anson, of \Wellington and Mr'.'-W. ; L.jlrwin, of Gisborne;!
